ABOUT

CauseLight.com was created by singer songwriter and artist for conservation, January Thompson, in support of her fellow artists for conservation and to connect people across the world to these artists who create art for the urgent causes of endangered species and the planet we share with them. The CauseLight gallery will give people direct access to the artist’s individual page with further information on how to buy their art and connect directly to the artist on social media and the artist’s website.

In The Artists Words. "Artists now, more so than ever, are acting as agent provocateurs, forcing us to confront our kinship with other animals, to acknowledge how we are diminishing them, and to see the world as it is, was and could be.  They continue to stand as society’s conscience and critics and disrupt our complacency and broadcast calls for change by increasingly reflecting the disappearance of the animal world in their works."-January

Here, in prints, paintings, sculptures and photographs are some glimpses into art about species extinction.

"We can save all creatures/nature/ourselves but we need inspiration, and that must come from the artists of the world; they, in turn, must be informed enough to point people in the right direction. We need all forms of visual art, design, and music to elevate nature, rather than denigrate it." -Dr. Lucy Spelman
